AGAPE LOVE WOMEN'S REFUGE
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” - Psalm 46:1

About Katie
Katie McKeel serves on the Board of Directors for Agape Love Women’s Refuge as the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate. As a survivor of sexual assault and childhood neglect, she understands firsthand the importance of safe people, compassionate support, and a community that offers hope and healing. Katie is passionate about being a voice for survivors and raising awareness of the unique challenges women face on their healing journey.
Katie has been married to her supportive husband for 10 years, and together they are raising three wonderful children. Being a wife and mother has long been at the heart of who she is, and those roles continue to be among her greatest blessings.
As her relationship with God grew deeper, Katie began praying for ways to serve Him. The Lord placed a burden on her heart for women who are hurting, searching for hope, and longing to know they are not alone. While the pain of her childhood is part of her story, it does not define her. Instead, God has transformed those experiences into compassion, resilience, and a calling to walk alongside women facing difficult circumstances.
Katie believes that through the mercy, grace, and unfailing love of Jesus Christ, healing is possible. She is honored to serve with Agape Love Women’s Refuge, where every woman is reminded there is hope, restoration, and renewed purpose, and that no one has to walk through their season of healing alone.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Psalm 147:3
