About Shannon

Shannon seeks no recognition for any time, talents or resources she is blessed to contribute, prays God is glorified through our collective efforts, and is honored to serve as the Treasurer for Agape Love Women’s Refuge. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she earned Bachelor of Sociology and Master of Public Administration degrees. Affectionately known as our “tech fairy,” she jokes about her type-A personality, but her gift for details keeps us organized, focused, and moving forward with clarity and purpose.

With a love for the Lord, a friend in Jesus, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, she has a drive for connecting people with resources, and is honored to be a recipient of Together We Care’s Joe Van Roberts Award for Community Excellence. Shannon’s background in community collaboration and finance, and the uncanny pleasure she gets from curating marketing materials and formatting a spreadsheet, make her an asset to the Agape team!

She is a member of Grace Community Church in Bowling Green and enjoys the simple things of life - sitting around a fire, long naps, strong coffee, hiking, boating, gardening, experiencing new places, thrifting, planning gatherings, playing games (volleyball and cards especially), live music and old record shops. Shannon says she is closer to grandbabies than babies, as both of her children are now in college. Married since 2004 to her best friend and high school sweetheart, Josh Ross, they have a daughter in nursing school, a son in business school, a spoiled German Shepherd who owns their couch, a couple cats, and a couple rabbits.

Her favorite scripture is Ephesians 3:20, which speaks to her belief that love is an action word: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Shannon’s steady faith and dedication to excellence help strengthen Agape’s foundation as we continue to grow and serve the women God brings our way.
